During this presentation Hugh McCarthy, Mark Artis and John Green examine the increasing importance of traffic engineering as our cities and urban areas expand. Their presentations look at the development of Irish/British Cities in the 20th Century, the recent development of cycling infrastructure and the emergence of traffic modelling to control and predict traffic patterns.
Hugh is a Chartered Design Engineer at Transport for London. He has been involved in a variety of transport designs and studies on various sections of the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN).
Mark Artis is a Lead Design Engineer at Transport for London. He has a diverse experience across various traffic fields. Specialising in highway design and cycling, he has been involved in a wide range of projects throughout London and the UK.
John Green is a Traffic Modelling Specialist at Transport for London.
