Weekly Irish property market news and insights – for the industry, by the industry

Before we get stuck into the general property news of the week, below are the local and international stories that might be of particular interest:

  • Firstly, a special word of thanks to Ciaran Galway, Jillian Wallace and all the team at Eolas Magazine for hosting a superb ‘Housing Ireland’ conference this week, in partnership with The Land Development Agency,  The Housing Agency Ireland and Beauchamps LLP. The content and delivery really packed a punch and the insights shared by each panel was fascinating – the housing conversation in Ireland has moved to a practical, technical and honest account of how to get more “homes” (never “units’ – thanks to John OI’Connor for the important reminder) on the ground. Keep an eye out for the next magazine edition, which will feature many of these speakers and key insights from the day:

If you missed last week’s round-up, you can catch up here:

As always, you might let me know if I have missed out on any relevant property news by emailing

(Apologies in advance for any typos, it’s difficult to get good help on a Sunday. Also, I use voice to text dictation so just sound out anything that really doesn’t make sense in a strong rural accent and that should help!)
