The launch of the Ireland Portugal Business Network (IPBN) in the Algarve took place at the Hilton Vilamoura on June 14th. It involved presentations from Portuguese and Irish businesses in the region followed by a panel discussion.
Speakers included distinguished entrepreneurs Gerry Fagan from Decade Development Management (DDM) and Declan Conway from Global Sustainability Initiative (GSI) as well as Francisco Mello do Rego, Commercial Director, BPI and Senior Partner and IPBN Board Director Geoffrey Graham from Edge International Lawyers.
The debate was moderated by Dearbháile Banahan, Associate lawyer at PLMJ and based at the Firm’s office in the Algarve, since 2011.
The event was supported by the Embassy of Ireland in Portugal and was enhanced by the presence of Honorary Patron Ambassador Orla Tunney.
It was attended by business owners and managers as well as independent entrepreneurs from a diverse range of industries such as technology, software engineer, real estate, tourism and property development and provided a wonderful environment to meet new contacts and expand business networks.
