India-UK FutureTech Festival: Session on Tech partnership, investment & innovation (Royal Ballroom)


The UK and India have great potential to be equal partners in each other’s prosperity with technology and innovation are important enablers for achieving this. Hear from the CBI Innovation Director Felicity Burch on how the UK and India can mutually gain from sharing key lessons and best practices to build a mutually beneficial future based on innovation. Invest India CEO Deepak Bagla will discuss Investments from the UK and how the UK-India investment relationship is evolving. He will also touch upon the Indian #Innovation ecosystem with particular reference to AGNIi, Startup India and the potential for UK – India partnership in start-ups. Grant Thornton India’s CEO Vishesh C Chandiok will chair a panel discussion of UK and Indian companies who have made significant investments in each other’s economies. The session will be summed up and closing remarks by the CBI International Director Ben Digby.

India-UK #FuturetechFest is a thought leadership summit bringing together business, policy makers, venture capitalists, scientists and entrepreneurs. Announced by Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Theresa May in April 2018, the festival is a major initiative under the India-UK Technology Partnership.

With key themes exploring how we WORK, LIVE and PLAY it will deliver thought-leadership, roundtable discussions and will provide opportunities for collaboration at national and regional level in AI/ Data, India UK Tech Hubs, Cluster Partnerships, Future Healthcare, Future Mobility, Fintech and Cyber Security.
