Economic crises past and present: lessons for Irish policy

Ireland has suffered severe economic crises before. What lessons should be drawn from them to guide national policymakers who will now face the post-pandemic challenge of recovering lost ground in employment, incomes and finances? The event features contributions from Patrick Honohan, former governor of the Central Bank of Ireland, the economic historian Cormac Ó Gráda, Frances Ruane, former Director of the Economic & Social Research Institute and Mary E. Daly (Chair).
